One of the tires in my 8N are filled with something. I'll be moving a state or two away here in a few months and would like to find out what is in the tire so I can ask the best way to drain it.

Farming is LONG gone from this area, so this will be DIY.

Should I just go and push on the tube valve and see what comes out?

Ideas? Advice?

KRS

KRS........me? its the smell first then taste test. Most common is CaCl (calcium chloride, a non-poisonous salt) Next common is water. 3rd common is used anti-freeze. (poisonous but smells sweet) 4th common is sugar beet juice. (would you believe it tastes sweet?) 5th common is windshield washer fluid (smells soapy alcohol, non-poisonous) ........the whine taster Dell,

Thank you!

So, all of them (but antifreeze) can go on the ground, right?

I'll give it a whiff, then think about the taste test ;)

I'm just going to roll the tire so the valve is as low as possible, then empty what I can to make moving easier.

Yep if CACL you can drain it on the ground but do so in an area that you do not care about any thing growing for a year or more depending on the rain

If you have any ditches, drain it in there -keeps them foliage free for a while.
