The hydrlic system doesn't raise up or down when I operate the control. Yes it's in gear,My Question is, could it be the relief valve or,the adjustment not set corectly? This tractor Has not been used for 15 yrs.Ichanged the Hyd oil Put the correct oil but it still doesn't work,I sure hope I don't have to take the pump out to correct it.Maybe top and not the bottom.Anyone have a suggestion. This tractor has never given any trouble.Have owned it since Oct.1944 Thanks

I'll bet you a dollar steak one of the valves are stuck. This happen to me last month. I dropped the pump and fixed it by pushing it in and out a few times. I think if you can remove the side plate(s) you can reach in and push the valve in. It is spring loaded and should work once it is broken loose. Let us know.

"Yes it's in gear" Hydraulic pump only runs when PTO shaft is turning. Don't know what you mean by "in gear". So, tractor in neutral, PTO on and foot off the clutch, does the PTO shaft turn?

If the PTO is running and still no joy, then time to remove the right inspection plate (round plate with the hydraulic oil dip stick in it. With the tractor off reach in and make sure the control fork is still attached to the control valve. If not attached you will have to remove the left inspection port and reach in with both hands and spread the fork around the T shaped connector on the valve.
If connected the valve may be stuck, see if it moves when you remove the control handle.

Important, 9/2 Ns do not have position control, there is only up and down with draft control.
