I have a decent 11" wide 28" dia rear rim. My old hat style rims are shot. Will my 11.2 tire fit OK on that wider rim? Thanks for your opinions and expertise. |

The old saying is you can go one size wider or narrower on your rims/tires and be just fine. If the price is right I would do it.

How are you measuring the rim?If you are measuring across the rim from outside to outside.....you have a 10x28 rim and that tire will be fine. don b

orange93.........keep looking. While the modern 11.2 is the new Gov't standard for the original 10.0; they were properly sized on 10-28 rims. I think yer gonna have problems keeping yer 11.2 tire from slipping on the wider 11-28 rim. ........Dell

You can get by with that but may look a bit odd since the rim and the tire are almost the same width as each other as in the side walls will be almost straight up. But I have seen worse and if you already own both go for it since you will not be out any thing but if you have to buy either one then don't do it and go the right way
