hey ya"ll... whats the easy way to test switch to see if good or bad. getting no volts to top of coil with switch on. this happened once and i sprayed wd-40 on key and into switch chamber and she fired. this morning, nothing. if i jump across the switch terminal post and she fires its the switch, right ? thank you... |

| uh oh...no power to coil.
12v coil is new....battery is almost new / turns the engine but weak. am charging now.
starter is new. wiring harness is new.
somewhere between battery and coil ?
she's been a sittin' mostly. haven't run her much this year.
all responses welcome and appreciated....

| Well is it I guess it is a 12 volt system. Slow turn over means weak battery or poor connections. As for no power to the coil try this. Run a wire from the + side of the battery since you have a - ground system to the coil and see if it runs. If it does then your problem is from the coil back to the battery if you still have no spark at the plugs then the problem is in the distributor |

| MnNC........yep, that's what I'd do. BTW, NEVER use WD-40 fer key locks (switches) It gums up the little spring loaded knobbys. Git the proper squirt'um from a real locksmith. Powdered graphite is NOT the right stuff either. Just makes yer pockets dirty ........Dell |

| Yep if you run a jump across the switch and it fires up it is a bad switch simple as that |
