12 Volt Conversion Fan Belt

"51 8N side mount distributor, 12 Volt conversion. Heard you
use original fan belt? Does NAPA have a suitable substitute?

Well, it would be 5/8", that's for sure. OEM was 41 1/2", but I think I'd measure it first. The actual length would be determined by the alternator/generator bracket length.

Can't find my original, it's in that special place where I wouldn't loose it. Can't even remember if it is smooth or ribbed?

It would most likely be smooth. Easy way to find it is look for something else and you will find it instead of what your looking for.
