12 volt starter

I have a 1949 8N with a 12 volt starter. Where can I find a brush kit for it? All is good but need brushes.....

Are you set up to solder the 2 live brushes to the fields? If not, take it to an auto electric shop. They should have the brushes too. I think 6 or 12 volt brushes are the same.

The 6 volt brushes work I don't think theres any difference

Thanks for the replies, but I still do not know where to get a brush kit for a starter! This site does not offer them and there aren't any starter rebuild shops in this area. I need to know where I can purchase brushes online. I was a maintenance technician for more than 30 years in hydraulics and electrical so I know how to install brushes.

A local rebuilder uses different brushes on a starter that will be run on 12 volts.
