would anyone know what gauge wire i should run from alternater to batt.i dont want to be under size i have 12 gauge on it now it just looks under size but it seems to be working thanks

(quoted from post at 11:25:17 10/24/10) IMHO,12 g will work,but as Rusty said,10g would be better.---lha

What's "better"? Less voltage drop? Well, then 8, 4, 0000 will all be "better". :)

Pop the hood of any car and look at the wire from the alternator to the battery and you will find that it is a 10 gauge and ion some even an 8 gauge wire. 10 is what most on here say to use but an 8 works well also

Ya I know how that old timers stuff can get you it got me the other day when I was building and engine and I put the piston in 180 out and the dome on the pistons hit the head so had to open it back up and turn the piston 180

Don't go cheap on your temrinals and connections. A lot of problems are the fault of crappy connections.
