About to install plug wires in a rebuild and noticed the tube that gathers all the wires must go under the head bolts??? All the bolts are torqued down is it ok to back 2 out and retorque just those 2. Also not even sure if the gathering tube even goes under the head bolts. I thought there was to be nothing under them not washers or anything. Also is the tube supposed to have a complete washer style to go under the head bolts, mine is only half there. Any help would be great. |

| You can eliminate the 'tube', just 'tie wrap' the wires together and hang them above the cyl. head. No biggy. |

| | HI Yes it does go under the head bolts. You dont have a lot of choice if the head bolts are already torqued. I have the studs and added the extra long ones for the 2 for the wire tube, the 2 for the alternator bracket also I can just use a jam nut for the additional brackets. In your case I would grease the tabs on the wire tube to keep them from twisting while you are torquing them. -- Mark |
