I"m looking at buying a Ford 2n as a project. I can turn the engine over by the fan belt. Is this normal or does it have low compression? Thanks |

| If you are looking for a worker,it looks OK,from what I could see[or could'nt see]looks like left axle may have problems.I welded mine and reinforced with 1/8x3/4 strap and it is hard to tell it was fixed, but took forever welding 1" at a time, then grinding down.if motor has compression, pretty much anything else can be fixed fairly inexpensively,IF you just want a worker.---lha |

| A couple of things shown in the pic, tell me it may be a 9n. Got it at a good price. There is definately that much in parts. I would like the front rims myself. |

| You should be able to turn it over with the fan belt but with significant difficulty. Most of the time I need to push on the belt when turning to stop the belt from slipping. If it turns easily with the fan belt then there is a problem somewhere. |

| | $400 is a very good price for a non-running N. Even if it has a cracked block or is not repairable, you can get $400 out of it in parts. If it's running, that's an excellent price. |

| Here's a photo of it. The grille and hood is bent a little but that's about it |
