| | If you can't see any leaks with the inspection plate off and operated under a load you can check the relief valve using Hobo's process even though it is under the oil. Cut a length of rubber hose just long enough to be pushed onto the end of the relief valve with the other end above the oil. Then operate the lift under load and observe the end of the hose. If oil is pushed out the end then the relief valve is leaking. Now why didn't I think of that????!!!!! Zane |

| Dean.......enny time you have hydraulic lift issues; remove the roundy-dipstick plate behind yer right heel and look fer "squirts" while trying to lift an implement. It don't hurt 'nuttin' to remove the 6"-plate and run yer hydraulics with yer PTO. Relief valve is semi-bulletproof, look fer squirts first. Relief valve is under all the hydraulic fluid and you can't see it ......Dell |
