Thank you! That is good advice. I hate to drive 20 miles for a 50 cent part so I hacked off the pull ring from a lynch pin and drove the pin through the holes in the drive assy and shaft. Sorry I didn't get your advice until after I put the starter back in. Anyway, it seems to be working and I can get back to my post hole digging. Thanks again. I appreciate your time.
