I have a 1944 2N. Looking at a log splitter. Does the log splitter run off the PTO or does it need to plug into a hydo line somewhere to power the pimp? It's 2 hours away so don't want to make the drive if it will not work for me. Thanks Scott |

| Look up Prince pump. The run off the PTO shaft and have the GPM you'll need for a splitter. |

| Thanks for the info. I have a loader on the front so I figured if it would run that it would run a splitter on the back. |

| All you have to do is get a hyd pump that runs off the front pulley and then it will work. It's the one that runs a front end loader.---lha |

| | Well it could have its own power, or be PTO powered or use hydraulics from the tractor. You will have to ask the seller. |

Short answer. It will not work for you.
Longer answer. The stock hydraulic pump of of any N series tractor is simply too slow for a wood splitter. If it has it's own pump, run off the PTO, it may work. |
