Good chance that it could, but of course it could possible have a mechanical break in structure & still have electrical continuity? Jumper across it (that is bypass it) and see if it will start. You don't want to run it more than a few minutes this way as it may damage the coil due to too much current and overheating, but it is a good OK test. [Reply]   [No Email]

It either works or its broke. And guess what??? you can see where it is broke. What does that tell you???
