Among my current works with my Ford 8N and Triumph and MGB business projects. I have in mock-up stage a 1941 Lincoln V12 engine under a Ford 8N hood/griile assembly. I've heard a story of a guy who did the Lincoln V12/8N conversion and need input, ideas, information on this "hairbrained/money pit" conversion. Just the sight of the V12 under hood of a Ford 8N is something to behold and makes those FUNK 6 and V8 conversions look like Ford factory production power options.

Sean (TX) Thanks for the lead, I also want to thank John Smith and the rest of you "out there" for all your input information. I've made contact with Ray Favero @ 815-458-6810 and he is able to provide all the conversion adapter parts for my Ford 8N/Lincoln V12 for $1,025.00 shipped, which I will have in the 3 weeks or so. He can also supply adapters for the Ford 8N flathead V8 converions. I'll keep the rest of you Ford-N-Red Bellies posted of my Lincoln V12 project.

Ray Favero in Braidwood, IL built a Lincoln V12 conversion among others. He's very knowledgeable. You should be able to find his phone number, it's listed.

Rich , I don't know what you got so far, Wondering if the lincoln moter will work with the funk conversion. I'm thinkin' the V12 should be about the same length as the I6 that they used on the funk, and the funk adapter fit the V12 ? Id be cool if you could keep the hood low and extend the length, I never did like the high hood look. What about the radiator? Them lincoln moters had heat problems from the get go

Andy,
I don't want a "pregnant guppy" look as in just posted V12 picture or the "high-n-dry" look of the FUNK 6 banger conversion either. I think using the V12 block as a main stress member(same as stock 8N) will keep the hood line low. Aided by going with twin up draft carbs on mod intake also. Section the hood by adding 12"-18" with a small 2-3 gallon under hood fuel tank. The V12 is very narrow 65 degree design and fits rather nicely under hood. The radiator setup is going too be a tough one and costly design if I want to stay within the hood/grille parameters as well as the front suspension pivot point tie in. We have a 1941 Lincoln Continental and a 1946 Ford convertible in our collection and the Lincoln runs far cooler (180 vs. 200) than the Ford. Yet,the Ford will blow the doors off the Connie any day of the week. Keep the pictures and imformation rolling in as this V12 conversion will see the light of day.

Wow, I sure hope you post a picture of that updraft manifold for a V engine. I can't picture it in my feeble old mind.
