Ford has recommended hydraulicoil in the N series for several years. I wouldn't recommend it without retrofitting the hydraulic piston with the "O" ring type piston. It seems like everything stays much cleaner with hydraulic oil |

| | Gary, If you notice, New Holland recommends that you use something other than 90 wt. oil, not Ford. Do you think it might be because they don't want to have to stock 90 wt. as none of the newer tractors require it, or are they trying to help old Fords, to which they have no connection other than a contractual agreement to sell parts for Ford tractors. The last I heard Ford has never changed it's recommendation on 90 wt., or 80 wt. in the winter. Me I like the 80-90 wt., that way I don't have to change the oil twice a year. And I have heard the old wives tale, wait a minute, not old wives, old dorks tales about 80-80 eating away brass bushing, which are put in the tractor to wear away. Try not to allow a corporate entity to control your thinking, their only purpose is to seperate you from your money. Maybe you'd better get out there and change your antifreeze :o) Another good joke.
