Hello all,
I am doing the 12v conversion on my 52 8N and want to get a better understanding of a couple simple concepts.
1. My 6v battery has the negative post and lead bolted to the frame and the positive post and lead bolted to the starter solenoid. Does this mean my 6v was wired negative ground?
2. I want to use my 6v coil just because it is only a month old. To do this I just have to use the resistor included in the kit, correct?
3. Anything else I should be concerned about so I don't grenade the new alternator?
4. Not a question, but I wish Yesterdays Tractors would post a video installing their kit. The instructions included didn't even show the brackets I received for the alternator. The only youtube videos I can find are for a front distributor and I have side. Also, I had to drill all of the punched holes in the mounting brackets because they weren't round and the bolts wouldn't fit through them. Chinese manufacturing at its finest....
Thanks for any help, I am 80% sure I know the answers to my questions, just want that warm fuzzy feeling before I wrap this project up!!
