Rich wanted me to post a picture of the UB I been working on so I got one while I had it out yesterday. Obviously a lot left to do but its running in the pic. DP

Looking good!
My UB with the loader on could use some paint also, but in the summer I usually don't have time, and in the winter I need it ready to move snow, so can't have it apart then.

I about bought one of those in 1969. We went and looked at it and Dad didn't like the sound of the rear end. For all I know about them, it might have been normal. We went to Archbold and I bought an Oliver 77 instead.

Beautiful UB's! Ooh, the cross chains are excellent. BIL's U had those chains and they stuck to ice
rr, dad figured the Oliver whine was lesser than MM growl?
Don't get me wrong, Olivers are excellent tractors but ya know they're there. :)

DP, it looks like the shifter on yours is a little more vertical than the ones on my tractors. Just wondering if it's been replaced at some point, or just tweaked a little?
Not that it matters--I'm not trying to be the correct police. I was just curious.

Rich, as far as I know that the way Granddaddy bought it. It has no visible signs of being changed. Built
early 53 and it was originally diesel if that makes a difference DP

Could just be the camera angle also. Nice to see you're keeping it alive. And the fact that it was your grandfather's makes it even more special.
