Power Steering on a Minneapolis Moline GB?

I have not but I have a Char-Lynn ps unit that i'm going to install on my GB, just going to plumb it into the pressure line going to the hyd unit, then return to the return line. I also have a Char-Lynn ps unit for a U with the pump and plumbing to mount directly on the engine, that'll make it an independent ps unit, either way will work

''just going to plumb it into the pressure line going to the hyd unit''

HOPEFULLY, you realize you will need a flow divider to make that work?

On a Jetstar, I took the pressure line from the tractor hydraulic pump directly to the Char-Lynn unit then from the unit on to where the pressure line originally went, worked very well for all the years I had the tractor. I think that should work on a GB also

There are two problems doing that:
The steering unit is always subbjected to the pressure of the hydraulic system, that varieswith the loafsfrom a few pounds to.mybe 1200 pounds. The return may not be designed to see 1200 pounds.

From the pump side, you are adding both hydraulic and system pressures,if the hydraulic system relief valve is opening at 1200 psi, andthe steering unit has similar pressure, you will have 2400 pounds at the pump. If the pump has an internal relief valve, it will be fine, otherwise it will quit.

That being said, if you use the tractor occasionnaly and do your best not to put the steering in relief while using the hydraulics, it may works
