Oil filter element

Getting ready to change oil in my R. It has the oil style oil with some type of filter inside the metal case. Its not a spin of cartridge. Any ideas on what number I should look for? We have an AGCO dealer 30 miles away, would it still be available. Thanks,,,

I would go to Napa or a farm store and they can look up the filter you need. Agco would as well but if something is closer I would go there.

That filter has been discontinued by mainstream filter manufacturers for several years. Welter's Farm Supply in MO can get filters. I believe they are being made in limited custom runs and are pricy. There are also several people who sell adaptors for them to convert to a readily available spin on filter.

There likely are substitutes for the original filters. I've crossed the bridge on other engines but not your series.
Chris is right, call Welters or get an adapter for a spin-on. Paint the spin-on if you/buddies are sensitive about correctness.
A Biler 60A23 adapter (about 25 bucks plus shipping molineparts) may help and a Napa/"Wix 51061/NAPA 1061 (shorter) or Wix 51794/NAPA 1794 which might be the longer ones to better replace the length of that original canister."
My quoted words are what I've heard/read. Please correct me if I got it wrong. : - )

Thank you so much for thee insights and suggestions. I will look for an adapter.and spin on filte..

All mine are being converted to spin on as oil changes progress. Doesnt make any sense not to when I get better filtration and 2-3 spin on filters for the price of one canister style. Not real concerned about what the originality police say either.
