Wireing diagram 1964 Jet Star to convert to a 12 volt ne

Good evening all.
Would anyone out there have a wireing diagram for a 1964 Moline Jet Star they would be willing to share with me ?
I would like to change it from a positive ground to negative ground and up grade the generator system to an alternator system.
I did this once before on an 8 N, and info and instructions were a lot easier to come by.
Any help or hints regarding this would be greatly appreciated

Is this what you are looking for? You can use a 10 ohm 10 watt resistor or a 194 lamp idiot light in place of diode. Fuel gauge may or may not work if changed.

Starter will turn same way either polarity

Where can you get this diode that is wired in on the diagram, auto parts store I think radio shack went out of business at least around here.
Any way thanks again much appreciated
 
Was your generator shot. I have a 1964 M-602 that is positive ground and a early U-302 that is Negative ground. Both work fine ad as long as they charge and everything works they will stay that way. Easy to polorize the generator so they are compatible with Pos or Neg ground??Cleddy
 
Does the generator need to be excited to switched over to neg ground
Once rewireing is completed?

Generator does, alternator does not

Changing to GM internal regulated alternator should be more reliable as it gets rid of the notoriously troublesome generator regulator. It would also be simpler to troubleshoot in the future.
 
Thanks to all for your help and info.
Rewired the tractor yesterday and reversed the polarity to a Neg Ground.
The wireing diagram was a BIG help
