Good day. I was on the general forum and was directed to the MM forum.
I have a 1967 Jetstar 3 Super SN: 28303693.
The engine is a 206H-4 SN 10006391.
Per the book, this tractor came with a spin oil filter, yet there is a canister type, not a spin on. There is no adapter. The center bolt is a 9/16-12 thread. I would like to convert to a spin on, however the adapters I tried have a fine thread. I am making my own adapter, so I think I have this problem solved, only doesn't make sense it didn't come with a spin-on filter??
The starter is a hodgepodge of different starters from previous owner. The starter mounts with a single bolt w/jam nut into the collar of the nose. The book calls for a 10A22619 (Delco # 1103956). There is only one number on the starter, it's a cast #108 on the nose only, no other identification. Pics of the replacement starter show either a two- or three-hole mounting flange. It is a 12 volt system.
Can anyone guide me to an appropriate source for the correct starter? Have tried a few of the popular parts supplies online, yet there is still speculation of what is correct simply because the oil filter is not the correct one.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you
