Back in the days I drove truck I would load at a warehouse about a mile west of Balcoms and I would stop and talk to them on my way out of town. They seemed like good people. I would sometime see them at get togethers at different places, such as the John Deere shows at Waterloo, Iowa and the Prarie Gold Rush shows. I have been retired from the road for 22 years and don't get to places like I once did. I once knew where every tractor salvage yard in the country was.from New York to Texas, up to North Dakota and everywhere in between. Junk yard hopping is my favorite vacation desires.

I talked with Jeff this year at Albert city,IA show. He said they will sell parts by appointment. They did have a guy come in there and clean up the parts tractors that were along the building. I have been wanting to get back down there and and see if i can buy parts in bulk.

I drive by there all the time when I go to my in laws by Elmore. Jeff Balcom lives in the old motel in Elmore. I have always wanted to see if he would sell one of the 2 G900 diesels there.

4 or 5 years ago I needed some parts and got hold of one of the sons (Jeff, I believe). He gladly sold me what I needed. He did not live right in Fairmont, so I made arrangements to meet him over there on a Saturday.

I also got to see the UDLX. They had it there and were working on it, and he told me the story behind it.

These guys are really close to me, drive by there at least every month very cool to see. Wish they would fix all them up. They used to be a dealer and there used to be an Oliver dealer across the road from them, not there anymore though. The also have a very interesting story on there udlx.

I don't know, think they'll sell parts but I don't think they will sell any of the tractors. I'm about 100% sure they will sell parts if you give them a call, that's what there website says anyways

The Winter convention I went to in Fairmont had to be 1996 or later because I had my KTA then and I went to Balcom for a part while there. Lennie Balcom my son and I went out in their yard to get the part.He knew right where to go and took the right size box wrench with him when we went out.
