There is a small special key. It is a square key with a pin that connects into shaft. I usually remove gear,clip and key to prime. If you put a cordless drill on shaft it is easy to prime rather than cranking motor over.

| This is starting to make more sense to me now. I turned and turned that little gear yesterday, and got no results. I realized I had the fuel valve closed. Once I opened the valve, I had plenty of fuel. We pull started the tractor, but it took about 1/2 mile (in road gear). That did not seem right. My other tractors start in about 15 feet. Do I have a pump problem, injector problems, or engine compression problems?

| First two filters gravity flow. Third has to be pressurized through pump with transfer pump. I think is runs CCW.If third filter not full with no airlocks it will not run. The pump plunger achieves the pressure and side gear setup rotates plunger gear to distribute to injectors.
