You are correct about the DC1-4 markings on the other side of the flywheel. Thank you very much for the clarification.Do you happen to know anything about how the flywheel on a U302 should be put on (i.e. DC markings lined up on bellhousing when #1 & #4 pistons are TDC or when #2 & #3 are TDC? Thanks again for all your help.

| I am sure others would know far more than me, I am only familiar with a U. I would assume that the flywheel cannot be installed incorrectly. At worst maybe installed 180degrees off. If you pull the spark plugs you should be able to tell if #1 is coming up to TDC on compression before/when the DC-1-4 mark shows.
If the U302 has the large (5"-6"?) opening in the bell housing to the clutch it should have a little notch pointer on the left side closest to the flywheel.
Good luck, hopefully somebody that knows a little more about U302s can help you out if you need it.
