Herk 10-30-2012 09:44:22 69.21.42.5 Report to Moderator	Hello I am looking at a 445 gas that after running a few min. steams from the radiator but it has no bubbles,(new cap ) no water in the oil ,temp gauge dosen"t go up (could be bad) also the motor seams to run hot ( muffler will glow red like you are pulling it hard ). The steam I think is a cracked head but the muffler getting hot puzzels me, timeing seems to be good ,any ideas Thanks Bryan [Reply]   [No Email]

Since the thermostat is in the hose a ways from the engine, if there is no bleed hole, the warm water can't get to it very quickly to make it open. I drill a 3/16" hole in the plate on new thermostats to prevent this. The original ones had this done when they were produced. [Reply]  [No Email]

Possibly the water pump isnt circulating along with a bad temp gauge (guessing). Does the temp gauge move at all? Stuck thermostat...with a bad temp gauge. Would be an oddity but..... I dont think the 206 engines had problems with cracked head as the larger ones did. [Reply]  [No Email]
