Hey Guys,
Couple of you have written me wondering whats going on with the resto of my UTN.
Well! Its been a long haul tearing down WASH,WASH,WASH,repairing for blasting and prime.
Been trying to source bearings, seals, etc from some great M.M. business. I believe we now have all bearings and seals, gaskets and are making some gaskets.
Bought a good grill.fenders, lot of misc from Bill Williams and Welters They are GREAT poeple to work with.
I am encluding pic's of gears going together and My Machanic Bob installing them in tranny.
I purchased P.G.#2 from source advertized in prarie gold magazine.
We painted few parts to try out and I am very happy with color .Will keep painting pieces ready for reasembly.
Motor is rebuilt awaiting paint. But we will finish rear end and paint first.
I am getting excited now can see some progress and the P.G.#2 paint has really fired me up.
Regards, Tony

Looks like you are having WAY TOO MUCH fun!! ha...

Looks great! You are going to have something to really be proud of!

What primer are you using?? That looks like a great foundation for the PG #2 you mentioned...

Maybe I missed a post, but how did you do most of the heavy cleaning?? Some of those early pics looked like you had your work cut out for you!

Howard H,
yes, we are just getting to the fun part!
We started this utn in May and its been scary, very dirty and seems every part needs attention. With parts hard to come by.
As to your question of how we clean I have a 2800 lbs @180 degree hot water pressure washer, and a putty knife, solvent and a brush. then the blaster and prime with valspar industrial primer.
Thank You for the comments and Yes I hope to be proud and also to do justice to Prarie Gold collecters and a 1952 UTN keeping Her from the scrappers for a long while.

You have a wonderful start there and you are doing justice as well. That is the way I like to see a restoration done....makes me want to start on my MMs.

Thank You Alan K,
Sometimes it gets discouraging but when I finally finish a stage or find a part, recieve a part from UPS,or figure out how I am going to approach a problem, then Its all worth it and I get a bump till next big puzzle.
The wonderful people I meet by phone and on THIS Y.T. BOARD, who help me solve problems Makes me realize how lucky I am to enjoy old tractors.
