Hello Fallas, In May I posted the purchase and start of my UTN on propane project. Got engine to machine shop needs boring. In mean time had a vacation that took me to Missouri and went to visit Welters Farm Supply ,What a wonderful experience. Ed and his son Glen gave me a tour and I left them a list of items I am going to need. They were very gracious to my wife and I. Being a I.H. guy I am cram coursing moline and loving it. Besides vacation also had a I.H.#39 Tumblebug plow to restore so we finished it last week. So yesterday back to the U we took deck off tranny & diff.I was surprised to see such stout gears compared to what I am use to. What I found is tranny gears look new but ring gear has pitting on about a third of it and spider gears appear to be very sloppy. We took about 3 gallons of water before the oil. The inside of case looks like its lined with tar. at this point we are going to remove ring and pinion getcase stripped down so I can hot wash. I am posting pic's of what we saw and pic's of rollover plow we just finish Any comments on our stradegy of ring and pinion and cleaning appreciated . Wondering if we can find better ring and pinion and bearings needed . Appreciate any comments and thoughts. Thanks, Tony |

| | Hi Tony, Have you been over to Five Points JD and bought anything green from my brother?? Your "U" project looks like it's going to be really nice when you finish. There are some people in my area that specialize in MM. I'll send an email so you get mine and if you have a special part needed, let me know via email and I'll try locally. Ron |
