My '52 BF had a bad U-Joint in the torque tube and it finally broke yesterday while I was moving it out of the way for my dad to roll out his old Triamph car out the garage to start working on it. I need a new U-Joint for my BF and I was wondering if I could use a regular U-Joint or if I had to get one thats specially made for that job? Thanks in advance, Alex |

| I bought some for my BG, which should be the same. Brand was Precision #870. Got them at local Auto-Tech store. Listed for $60.59 (Ulp!), but my price was $25.20. I used measurements of old ones to find. I did have their shop install as they were just a hare tight, and I didn't wanna wreck them installing. He had to ream a couple of my yokes, cause they weren't round anymore. I also had to file and sand the splines on all my old shafts so they would slide on again w/out having to be tapped on. Lottsa wear on my tractor, which you may have then too. Hardest part is you have to practiacally dismantle the tractor to get the shaft out! |

| Got some dimensions... I've got several catalogs of ag/industrial "U" joints and a guy MAY be able to match something up by the measurements. |
