Did I get an okay deal on my new to me 1968 165?

Been hard to find any real pricing on a 165 saw prices all over the place. I paid $6500. Tractor has 6k total hours, new (clutch, battery, and generator) last year, and rebuild motor 600 hours ago back in 2010. Has an Older Du-AL loader that's adjustable from 5foot to 7foot. Being that it had relatively lower miles on the rebuild It felt worth a little extra I could be wrong. Mostly just need the tractor for mowing and some grading work and other random odd jobs around the farm.

Other specs:
Standard 6 speed
MF ROPS
Continental 4Cylinder Gas motor

Looks like a decent deal to me, especially because it looks very turnkey. Like Phil said, a loader is a big plus. Just buying a used loader and getting the
right brackets would cost about 2k. The tractor looks like it was well kept up with too, which shows that the owners cared about it, probably changed fluids
regularly, it will probably have a long life.

I have seen 165s with loaders go for as low as 5k, but they weren't in good condition. Running, but weren't taken care of, and usually required a little elbow
grease and money to make right.

Congrats on the new tractor.

Looks like a decent deal for you. The roll bar (ROPS) is worth about $700 to 1k US, plus FEL adds $1.5 to 2k. If rear tires good a bonus, they can cost $500 to 700 installed each. Those all add up. It's a great tractor, lots of folks here to assist maintenance, etc
