Here is a pic of 2 very small clamp looking objects that were found inside the diesel 135 transmission sump along side a dime for reference. Both are identical but look to flimsy to be tractor parts. I'm missing the roller pin.

Hello, can you post up some clearer photos of the bits. Rather difficult to identify them at the moment. My first thought was that it is part of the little clip which prevents the knurled adjusting screws turning in the vertical lever. The clip is rivetted in place. A non-pressure control tractor will have one screw and clip, a PC tractor will have two.

The ends look more like slits than holes, I am missing the entire roller and was hoping to find it once I wash out the crud. Been fishing around with a magnet finding filings. I'll try a better pic today.

The Last time I had similar items in my MF 35 they originated from the ball bearing assembly support on the pinion...

My mother was a war bride from Abergaveny South Wales. Lived out her life here in Arkansas, USA and never lost her strong accent and always enjoyed her tea. The neighborhood loved her.

The pinion support bearings are tapered cup & cone assemblies, albeit, the pinion spigot bearing is different again.
I'd hazard a guess and say they are probably from a collapsed ball race in the transmission input housing.
These tend to fail more often than the ball races located further back in the drivetrain.

Jd thank you for the pics and the location. I planned to raise the lift cover and find the lost roller anyway so while in there I'll inspect the big gear and if all is not well I'll swap out the entire rear with my spare.
The PO sold me this 135 diesel for 500 with all new bearings, pistons, rings, hoses, oil pump, gaskets, belt, and shifter boots. It's been on the back burner while fixing the 245 and finding a loader for it.
