Damsel in Distress! MF 35 Turf Special

I was recently given my Granddad's tractor. It's been running good until this last weekend (after running it out of fuel while cleaning pens). I've attached a video with the sound it makes as well as a picture of the manufacture plate. I'm far from being a mechanic but any help, diagrams and laymen's terms are appreciated!

Sounds like your tachometer cable or the tach itself is making that noise. Try unscrewing the tach cable from the back of the generator and see if the noise stops.
