I am working out a noise issue on my MH44, but have postponed work a few days to get 4020 ready for planting.

I should have it worked out this week.

Vic,

I got rid of most of the noise today, need to get a set of resistor wires tomorrow. There is an electrical noise issue that is preventing me from finishing. I am not seeing stable RPM's

I should have ignition working after that.

My MH44 is 1400 RPM, what is the RPM range of your engine?

We are working on a little continental 131 in a Ferguson 40. Might call it a MF 50. Ran across Autosport Labs web site. They say to use the Coil Pac , EDIS module, Trigger wheel, and crank sensor from a 1990 to 99 Ford Escort. That will get you spark but no advance. They want you to use their Megajolt Lite Jr. 165 dollars. to advance the spark and to run a tach. Oh our max rpm is 2600, but 2300 is our sweet spot. 85 hp maybe. Vic

That looks like an IDEAL low cost solution. I am using the microsquirt, which is more money because it also handles fuel injection.

That does look like you can program the advance into it.

Go for it.

I would make sure and use resistor wires and plugs, btdt.
