Hi Folks, I'm not usually on the Massey Harris part of the forum, but we do have some machinery on the farm from Massey Harris: a 6B Reaper & Binder; 10 Disc Sundercut and a Sunlea Seed Drill. I am hoping that someone might know where to find some parts for the Seed Drill. Mine was built in 1939 and still works, but needs some love and attention. I particularly need some spare semi-rigid tynes, tyne points and pawls for the driving gears. The part numbers (if they are of any use are: N 5197, N 3624 & D 493 / D 494.
I am also trying to find copies of the various Tables of Quantities for setting the drill correctly for different seeds. I have the one for oats and wheat, but would like to find some others if anyone knows where copies might be found.
I have attached some images from the book and from the seed drill going to work today. Thanks in advance,
SadFarmall

| Well, it looks like this type of machine is pretty rare now. Got hold of another book and spoke to a foundry about some parts and an engineering works about new tynes. We'll see what happens. If anyone knows of any of these seed drills dead or alive I'd love to know. Thanks,
