Hi I Don't know if it fit's with out a lot of work but it will be a weapon of a tractor if you get it in there !. The 372 is a long stroke motor. we got one in a 750 combine and it hammers the 354 turbo motor. I know a guy had 2 David Brown tractors back in England with a 354 turbo and a 372 non turbo fitted as a conversions. He said the 372 non turbo was twice the tractor the other one was too. Good luck with it. Regards Robert |

| 354 and 372 are both 5 inch stroke, 354 is 3 7/8 bore while 372 is 3 15/16 bore. Perkins must have liked 5 inch stroke, 192, 203, 236, 248, and 318 were all 5 inch stroke 4 cylinders. |

| Ok sorry for that I new it was different somewhere inside been about 12 years since I looked it up when we bought the combine. The 372 will still hammer the turbo 354 what ever the out come, it has been proved twice on 2 different continents. Regards Robert |

| Must be something wrong with the turbo 354s you have seen. Stock 372 hydraulic head is 9 MM plunger size while T 354 injection pumps have 10 MM heads. 372 pumps are 72 cc average full load fuel setting while most T 354 pumps are 88-90 cc. Very critical to keep good fuel filter care on T354 or low power will be the result. MF 750 with 372 needed the M&W turbo kit to have enough power to unload on the go when I worked at MF dealer years ago. Had a lot of low power complaints without the turbo. |

| Hi Our 750 unloads on the move fine with no power issues. dads not a test pilot either lol, so maybe the fact he's not trying to go at 10 mph helps. as for the 354 against 372 I don't know why the 72s seem to be better. Maybe the pumps have been messed with over the years to get more power. I can only comment from what I have seen or heard from the guys involved. These things are pretty old now as with all the combines and tractors from the 70's and 80's. Its like guys told me in a post here I knew nothing and was an idiot talking about 1135 and 55 tractors, They said There where no problems in the trans and rear ends . I've seen enough over my time to know there is problems with them. That's the reason nobody round here will pay anything for them in sales. Maybe it runs in different areas too who knows. | Most of what I see problem wise still comes down to maintenence. Better care equals better service. Dad has an MF 1100D bought new with 7000 plus hours, water pump has been repaired 3 times that I recall, no other larger repairs. He does keep good filter and oil change service. We still have several older MH and MF tractors, brother still has 2 750 combines also, but don't use much after his newer MF with draper head was used the first time. These heads work so much better, faster, and don't put rocks in the combine. He traded off 2 8570 and auger heads for a MF and Agco Cat model. Has never enjoyed running beens like he does now. |
