I have been trying to fix the 3 point lift on my Italian made MF154S for a while now. Assuming it was something similar to other Masseys of that vintage, I went hunting for the pump & filter around and inside the rear axle. Well, having drained the oil, taken the inspection plate off and found nothing, I eventually realised that the pump is totally external and is run off the front of the crank pulley. I did not see all the piping originally as they were covered by a side plough attachment. All primed and working again now and ready for the spring. So this message is firstly to say thanks for the tips I received earlier on this forum and secondly, to register the location so that anybody else searching on a similar machine doesn't make such a meal of it as I did ! Regards to all. |
