I have been chasing down a leak I thought was a banjo fitting but seems it is the housing at the rear of the pump. Would replacing the o-ring gasket involve disturbing any internal parts? Also it looks like the housing has threads, does this sound right? If not how does the rear housing come off? thanks for any help |

| Griggs doesn't fix them, they sell the kits, around $ 35-40. If all you need is a couple o rings, I go in the plumbing isle of the Ace hardware. |

| www.griggslawnandtractor.com They sold me a kit for the 4 cylinder CAV pump, no directions, just the bits and pieces. Search on this forum and the Harry Ferguson archives for my - adventure. Hey it works, tractor still has issues, but the pump was going by the third atempt.... if you can just get the top off and the o rings replaced, it might not need more than hardware store o rings and a re-prime. good luck. |

| I pulled the pump off twice from a MF255 diesel with a leak. The second time it was very apparent that the large O ring at the back was leaking(thanks to low sulfur diesel). Opted to have it fixed at a diesel shop, replaced all the gaskets and such, that fixed the problem. I am pretty sure you would have to tear the pump down to the nub to replace all of the gaskets and O rings. |
