First thing I look at is the dash tags last letter for and M and the pto shifter for ground position which indicates 2 stage.Check dipsticks on engine and tranny for water, loose front end means lots of use, if it runs check oil pressure and clutch,look for a leak from the weep hole and expect a slight drip. |

| no they are a package deal. one is serial no-SNW-236188 other is SGM172751 didnt get third serial but now armed with more good info will take a second look. thanks for the info. |

| On my info .... SNW 236188 = ‘Should be’ =Perkins (3cyl) diesel, with Multipower, One of the most reliable engines of the era. Multipower, good if it works, can be problematical. Built 1963. SGM 172751= ‘Should be’ = 4 cyl Gas TO35 with dual clutch, built 1957 - but see also what Dan said. |
