| As Andy says fit the seal in the axle tubing and repack your wheel bearings with grease. Normally that sorts it! Sam |

| You really should replace both the inner and outer seals to prevent oil from getting to the brakes. However, it is the inner seal that prevents the hydraulic fluid from getting to the bearings and eventually washing the grease through the outer seal on to the brakes. The inner seal is easy to get to and replace. The outer seal is much harder to get to because there is a band that needs to be cut off the axle as well as pulling the bearings off the axle shaft. You could try the inner seal first and see if it solves your problem. |
