TRANNY, 24sp had alot of problems, had a 2745 once, power shift went out, these tractors are not worth the money it takes to fix them, thats if you can still get the parts from agco. 8sp would be ok. Sold the 2745 and bought a 4440 deere much better tractor. Here is the thing with these MF tractors they are cheap for a reason.

not so fast !the late 2000s were real good tractors and IF the owner knew how to us it they were fine what killed most was guys that did NOT read or under stand how to shift them. but as to buying a used one is a shot in the dark. we had a 2805 with just over 10,000 hrs. and not one trany problem. bought it with 1500 hrs on it with trany out of it i rebuilt it with all up dates and it was flawless till it burnt up in a barn, shed fire

Have a 2775 with 24speed. Reverse seems to only work good if main box is in 1st. I"ve been told that reverse is HYD driven. Pump going out or what. I have asked about this tractor before. It aparently has two HYD Pumps. The three point hitch doesn"t work, it has been bypassed to get the power stearing to work. Sugestions... Pull rubber and sell for scrap? Or is there hope?

Reverse is not hydraulically driven. It is driven through the low side clutch pack, which is hydraulically engaged. The fwd/rev shuttle is separate from the speed change of the trans.

Thanks for the RE! So what is the most likley problem with reverse. The clutch pack, or lack of pressure?
