Does anybody know of a serial number location other than under the battery box?
There is a Massey plate beside the fuel filters but the SN 16401175 is way too low for any listings I can find.

Hi Dave, Some MM (I don't know if I have them
matched) have s/n on RH side of trans case and
some on LH side of trans case. Worth a try? Chuck

I looked under the RH battery box and there is no sign of a SN plate ever being installed. Any other places Massey might have stuck a number?
I will try the Minney website, see if I can get a build date from the engine SN.

Check Minneapolis Moline.com for serial number info on MF 95, 95super and 97 as these are all built by Moline.

The s/n plate is under the rh battery box. The s/n beside the fuel filter is the engine number and a 164 s/n is correct for a MF 97.

I think you just use the last 4 digits. If that is the case yours is a 1963,

Hi Dave, According to (Official Guide)s/n should
start with 252xxxxx. I can't come up with the
location. Chuck
