Topic: what to use for power sterring fluid

I have a 235 with power sterring that leads out the steer wheel. I put new seal in put the old seal looded good .Yhe power sterring fliud is very thin.Would 30 wt motor oil work?? Thanks for any help/. |

| I run Permatran in the power steering of the MF 240.
I know the steering system is different, but it should use what ever you run in the hyd/trans |

| most have dexron II or universal tractor trans. hyd fluid used in them 30wt is to heavy |

| Thanks MF#1 my iti mannel said to use MF sterring fluid .Thanks the hy fluid would be thicker than what I am using. |

| The 245 manual says to use the same hydraulic fluid that goes in the trany. You might want to check your manual, I would bet it's the same. |
