This one was in a hydrolocked Perkins. It did not want to loosen up. A 300 pound guy with a 20 pound maul and a 4 foot crow bar for half an hour did the trick. Sad part is the liner should have come out with it- and didn't. But there is never no hope. My experience - besides this one- is rusted up valve stems. Even taking the head off is easier than this was. Good luck.

Depends on why it is stuck. If stuck because it did not have the exhaust covered then not likely to be freed up with out opening it up. That said I buy most of the tractor I have had with locked up engines. I fill the cylinders with ATF put the plug back in and then pour ATF down the exhaust pipe till it starts dripping out some place and let it sit. I then put a 12 volt battery in and 2 or 3 times a day stop by and hit the starter button and watch the crank pulley. If it moves any at all I pull the plugs and try it a few more times. Never just hold the button but use short fast taps on it. I have freed up more then 20 that way and only opened up 2 or 3 because they did not free up

Depends on how bad it is stuck/rusted. Sometimes nothing will work short of tearing the engine apart.
