What size tires are on the back? Wouldn't it be simpler to put on bigger tires?

Leave your axle alone and fit a gearbox from a MF 65 ...30mph plus! I suppose the gearbox from an industrial with disc braking would do the same. But be warned it saps your power and make sure your brakes work, OHHHH remember to turn the peak on your cap backwards or else tie it under your chin!!!!!!! Sam

Could I also add, that just fitting an M.F.65 transmission, will "load up" your original pinion and crownwheel, so take it steady on the throttle. Any gain in road speed by this mod. comes at a cost to the strain on the rest of the drive train. The M.F. 65 transmission and diff assembly complete, is a better option, as Sam as said, because the ratios are "matched". This is why the M.F. 148 tractors suffered with chronic differential failures, under constant heavy loading, Evan.
