Differences btw 202/204/ 40ind??

I bought a tractor and was told it was a 40 industrial, but the sheetmetal is wrong ..it has the squarish grille & hood of the 202/204...but no shuttle shift...it does have the 134 in ita 3 point & pto, power steering & the heavy duty industrial front end..unfortunatly the ID plate on the dash is gone...is there one anyplace else???

I don't think so.
Some pictures would be a definite asset. There are lots of folks who could help identify it for you.
Here is what I know..........
202 has 6 speed manual transmission, no instant reverse, Continental Z-134 engine, some had 3pt and PTO, some did not. I believe they were an option.
204 is basically the same machine as the 202 except that they had instant reverse (shuttle shift), as far as I know that is the main difference.

Just looked at some pictures of MF 40 industrials.
Does it have square rear fenders?
Are there headlights above the grille?
Is the grille all yellow or is it black?

I think the 40's all used 3 cylinder Perkins engines, gas and diesel. It may be 2200 which is very similar to a 40, had the continental Z-134 option and also had a basic standard transmission available. The 40 had manual shuttle or instant reverse transmission only.
