Hi,

I cannot ajust proprely my timing. It seems to be a problem in automatic timing. Adjusting timing manually during engine accelaration doesn't solve the problem, but not easy at work :):)
I'd like to check the way the distributor advance mechanism is fitted, the cam assembly cannot move aroud the axe. It's not gripped but I'm not sure it's conformed at original. Does anybody has an exploded view of the a Delco Remy 1112457?
I bought the very useful service manual on this webpage, but the view inside the book on page 65, doesn't show how the centrifugal weight acting with cam assembly.
Thank you for your precious assistance.

I cannot come up with a breakdown for a 111 2457, but I did find the breakdowns of the ones used on the Massey 65. The page marked 44 is a 1112644 (later) while the page marked 46 shows a 1112583 (early). I hope this helps.

Hi Aaron,
Thank you very much for your schema. On fig. 1041.1, we see the piece #10, which is the cam shaft. On my part, on the basement on the set (not visible from the image), there is a pin, which goes inside of the hole of the support (at the top of axle #8). That's not allowed the cam to turn more than very few degree! Normaly, the advance must be from 12 (at idle) to 26 (at max speed). There is two options: to enlarge the hole of the support to follow the advance, or to remove the pin at the bottom of the camshaft which will allow it to turn more and give advance.
If I turn the distributor manualy it goes perfectly. My opinion is the automatice advance doesn't work properly due to that pin. I may eventually send pictures of that two pieces.
