Trying to fix a friends Massey Harris 44 Tractor. It will pull start and runs fine but I loose spark when cranking. I cant find a wiring diagram. It has positive cable direct to starter and negative cable is going through the starter solenoid. There is no other cable coming off the positive cable. Is this a positive ground system that is hooked up back ward. Owner is in his 80s and did not know. My 40 9n is positive ground. I have a crispy looking wire going to the ign switch but I have spark when pull starting. I just took starter in to have it checked to make sure it was not drawing to much power.
