I have mf 135 with a perkins. Today I was backing up and hit a log with my bushhog. I notice a lot of hyd. Oilcoming from the hole underneith. Everything still works but the bushhog is steadily creeping down. Any idea what I may have broken inside?

Hi,
Which "hole" is the oil coming from?
Evan.

it is behind the one that has a cotter pin in it. just forward of the plate with the 4 bolts.

OK. Hydraulic oil coming from the vent pin on the front of the transmission could mean a failed seal on the transmission input shaft. If this leak has only started since "jarring" the slasher with a hidden stump or rock, could also mean that a bearing has failed as well. Is the tractor making any new noises since?

i can hear a faint knock, it sounds like its coming from underneath where the gear selector levers are.

I would start by separating the tractor at the clutch bell-housing. You can then check that the oil is coming from the input shafts, and remove the input shaft housing to renew seals and/or bearings. The steering box/gear selector cover is more easily removed once separated, to inspect for damage in the transmission. I would also drain the transmission and diff oil before you start, it may help you to pinpoint the problem area, if any "pieces" are found.
Evan.
