Difference between row-crop and western 1080?

Hello again, I'm wondering if there's a difference in the hydraulic pump between a western and a row crop MF 1080?

I'm going to a tractor junk yard this weekend and I thought I'd try to find an hydraulic pump to rebuild this winter, prior to taking mine out next spring. That way I'd just have to swap it out.

The trouble is, my tractor is back home in Nova Scotia and it's a row crop tractor (with 3pt hitch), but out in the West where I work, there are only western tractors (without 3pt hitches)in the junk yard.

Do you think the pump would be the same?

Thanks,

Troy, the 'junk yard' operator should have a parts book, he sure has the price book, and be able to see if they are the same. I think on the Super 90 the pump is the same on either just some external difference that I believe can be exchanged. The 1080 might be that way too. I wish Massey had put bigger pumps on those tractors. Just a thought. Bruce

Hi B, Which pump? The aux pump should be the same
but the 3 pt.pump has some diff. mostly between
the malleable or cast axle hsgs. Chuck
