1st issue: I have an MF 165 with a perkins gas engine A4.212, ser.# 212 UA 1914 A, I have found the rebuild kits but I can not find the pistons and the rebuild kits come without the pistons!
2nd issue: When I split the tractor, ser.# 9A 100215, I wanted to replace the clutch assembly. The tractor has a single clutch plate 1.125 hub, 10 spline with matching shaft from rear of tractor. The outer shaft that runs thru the pressure plate assembly is 1.625, 10 spline !!!??? The presure plate hub is 1.75, 10 spline (yes, failure was days away). I am a tool maker, the shaft out of the tractor mic's 1.625 and the throughout assembly fits properly. HELP !!!!!

Thanks
Nick

Don't know where you're at but Engine Power Source in Rock Hill SC should be able to find your pistons. 800-374-7522 ask for Don Williams.

I have one of those monsters! 165 gas with perkins engine is actually a 175 motor converted to gas. When the kits where available they where 3 times as much as they where worth! The best thing to do is have them made. Ross racing or any of the piston mfg can do it. It has become a common thing these days. You also do not need that hole (depression)in the middle of the piston.I would raise the compression ratio up at least 1. It will run a lot better. Massey use to sell the valves for a $100 each!!!!!!!! You can have everything made for very much less. The quaility will also be much better! When you are done you will have a good dependable 70 hp tractor. It will out run any 175.
