gear shift stuck on mf 135

my gear shift is stuck in gear high/low gear shifter works great but other is stuck wont move, its locked any advice... it was shifting great just backed up a hill and parked then went to move 30 min later and shifter was locked..

Some one else may can give betteradvice but if you can try rolling back down hill and see if that releases it.

Remove the top oil filler plug. With a small bar, center the shifter fork. Ok to go. Chuck

Chuck is right on the money. I have had this same problem with our MF 65...more often than I would like to admit, I try to shft her like a truck.

Yes they are both right. I could not remeber if the 135 was set up like that. My 165 has had the same trouble. Took the cap off and with a long screwdriver poped it out.

My high/low was stuck sideways, luckily for me it happened right outside the shop. had to remove the whole instrument panel, jack up the gas tank on a block, take out the power steering. i couldnt remove one of the arms on the power steering so i just manage to move it over sideways enough to get at the shifter housing. rather simple fix, didnt even have to buy any parts.
